Indian premier league losing its sheen

I have been folllowing the Indian premier league since many years and actually since its inception in the first season but still i feel  this season that is 2016 season has lost its Glitz and Glamour today . IPL does not interest me anymore because of many reasons, first of all it was rocked by the betting scandal in which key players from the nation were caught red handed although they were later declared to be innocent I somewhat sense it had something lacking and fishy about it.

The major factor affecting the game is nothing but the suspension of two very prolific teams from the league and that too two teams which were previous season champions.Chennai super kings and Rajasthan Royals and chennai has of course managed to win the title twice and also they have won the champions league and after the suspension of both teams it has failed to attract the curiosity which the league previously had.

Another factor which led to the downslide of the most famous cricket league is because of Dhoni's new team Rising pune suergiants not performing well and he is the captain of the Indian cricket team and fans are darely missing his super team Chennai super kings. He is also missed by another team which was performing really well Rajasthan royals it was a team which won the inaugral season of the Indian premier league by defeating Chennai super kings.Only factor which motivates me to still watch IPL is nothing other than the beautiful innings and wonderful bowling performances and spectacular catches being caught, hope the situation of the league will improve soon and we will have a wonderful time

So I hope it continues to be a beautiful game and we will continue to have sweet memories and sweet moments which it used to give us previously and continues to be a gentlemans game .

KL Rahul

In this article iam going to tell about a champion batsman from our town who has acheived great success and has reached great heights in the cricketing world,Iam talking about the very talented and skilled player KL Rahul who hails from our very own city Mangaluru. He is a brilliant player and plays the game with lot of passion and dedication .His greatest moment came when he was selected to play for the Indian test team and even went out to make a century against Australia in Australia and that proved out to be a vital role or moment in his career.A tall, elegant right-hand batsman who can keep wicket in a crisis, KL Rahul is among the most highly rated opening batsmen in India's next generation. Rahul was a part of India's squad in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup and made his first-class debut later that year. Having taken a while to establish himself as a first-class cricketer, he enjoyed a breakthrough 2013-14 season, laying the foundation for Karnataka's Ranji Trophy victory with 1033 runs, which included three centuries, three nineties, and a Man-of-the-Match performance in the final. Rahul attracted plenty of attention at the subsequent IPL auction, and finally went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 1 crore (US$ 166,000 approx.). He was a regular member of their side in the 2014 season, mostly as wicketkeeper-batsman, but his contributions with the bat were steady rather than spectacular. In the long format, however, his technique and application have impressed some of Indian cricket's most respected names. These include Rahul Dravid, with whom Rahul shares not just a name but also a strong rapport, regularly seeking him out for technical and mental advice. Rahul had a middling tour of Australia with the India A team in July-August 2014, getting starts each time he batted in the unofficial Tests but only managing a top score of 52. But his appetite for runs was back to normal by the time the 2014-15 domestic season began, and twin centuries in the Duleep Trophy final earned him a place in India's Test squad on their tour of Australia

Leicester City F.C.

The Greatest Turn Around

The biggest surprise package of the year which was least expected turned out be a mind boggling surprise to the entire world ,yes you heard me right entire world. The biggest football league in the world English premier league was never expecting such a story to take place ever and that the world would see such a Miracle, now those of you who dont follow football much might wonder what exactly am i talking about its nothing but coming from the end of the world as a loser and coming on top of the world as a winner.

The story goes like this last season that is 2014-2015 season Leicester city were on the verge of being eliminated but some how managed to survive and avoided relegation from the league, they were in the last position in the league but look what has happened in a span of just one year they are almost on the verge of winning the Premier league this season they did not boast of any superstars unlike other teams but this is the biggest turnaround the entire world never expected

I would like to name Jamie Vardy who has risen one step above and helped the team for the bigget turn around in the footballing world. He has emerged as a superstar in the past few months and probably be named the player of the seaon for this year in the English premier league .

I wish they can completely finish off this dream run and win the Premier league this season.

NEYMAR A STEP AHEAD

THE BIG BATTLE

Forget the Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo debate, there is a new contender. Neymar has had a ridiculously brilliant season and has served up some special stuff in the Copa America already.

It's a three-way tie at the top of world football for me now, and maybe Neymar has been up there for longer than we realise. Last summer at the World Cup was possibly the moment he arrived at that very top table to dine with the elite.

You only had to wander up the Copacabana during the tournament to see just how loved Neymar is by the Brazilian people. He is well and truly idolised. But with that love comes pressure and at the age of just 22 he carried the hopes of the nation. So no wonder he broke his back during the World Cup.

Image result for NEYMAR VS MESSI
It wasn't just the hopes of the football-mad Brazilian people that he was carrying – he had the likes of Fred and David Luiz plus a whole host of other sub-standard (by Brazilian measures) players who Luiz Felipe Scolari had picked, clambering on his back for the ride.

Neymar's performances didn't suffer – he was named in the World Cup XI at the end of the tournament. The only way Colombia could stop him was to fracture his vertebrae during the quarter-final between the two South American sides in Fortaleza, Juan Zuniga kneeing Neymar in the spine.
Zuniga apologised, but without their talisman Brazil were so useless they smashed all sorts of records for ineptitude, hammered 7-1 by Germany in the semi-final.

So in 2014-15, questions were asked: How would Neymar recover? Could he improve on a decent but unspectacular and in terms of trophies, unsuccessful first season at Barcelona? And how would he deal with the arrival at the Nou Camp of another South American superstar – Luis Suarez?

Neymar's ego didn't take over, he got on with the job, helped make that spectacular front three work, and won trophy after trophy. He contributed 39 goals to the trio's tally of 122, and he was joint top-scorer in the Champions League.

On top of that, he has been a joy to watch. Yes there are goals, yes he can set up his team-mates, and yes he's a winner. But he does it with tricks and style that lift him to that higher footballing ground. He's a goalscorer, a team player and an entertainer.

He seems to play well for Brazil every time I see him, and if that's not true then it is a fact that his ability takes his national side beyond where it should be. Just take a look at his highlights from the 2013 Confederations Cup – his stunning goal in the opening game against Japan after just three minutes set the tone for a tournament Neymar dominated.

The wonder kid

                                                                    Carlos Brathwaite

Remember the name because he is the person he is the future of westindies cricket ,the way he played that terrific knock was absolutely tremendous and fast. When the t20 final went down to the last over and Westindies needed 18 runs to win nobody gave them a chance, but there was this rising superstar waiting in the wings to grab the opportunity with both hands and show the world what he is capable of,just imagine the pressure he had to undergo while he played that fantastic knock and finished off the match with three huge sixes to seal the match. It will remembered and be in the heart forever what a knock it was played by our very own upcoming superstar Carlos Brathwaite the commentators expression to describe him was simply too magnificant on the day of the final.

Carlos Brathwaite (born 18 July 1988) is a West Indian cricketer from Barbados. Brathwaite made his Twenty20 Internationaldebut for the West Indies against Bangladesh on 11 October 2011. He made his One Day International debut seven days later in the same series.[1] During the West Indies tour of Sri Lanka in 2015, he scored 113 from 58 balls against Sri Lanka Board President's XI and shared a 193-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Andre Russell at Colts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo, to help his side recover from 7 for 109 to 318 in a 50-over game.

He made his Test debut for the West Indies in the Second Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 26 December 2015.[2]
Needing 19 to win in the last over against England, Brathwaite scored four consecutive sixes in the first four balls of the over in the final of 2016 ICC World Twenty20 to enable the West Indies to win their second World Twenty20 title.[3] This was his debut World Cup. He was the first player for the West Indies to score four consecutive sixes in a T20I match.[4]

In April 2016, he made his Indian Premier League debut with franchise Delhi Daredevils,[5] having been bought at auction forRs. 4.2 crore (having had a base price of Rs. 30 lakh).[6]
He also spent a number of years playing domestic cricket in Ireland, with Dublin-based Leinster Cricket Club, with whom in 2009 he won the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup, defeating Donemena CC in the final.[7]

One of the biggest buys for DD ahead of the 2016 edition of the IPL, Carlos Brathwaite made his ODI and T20I debuts in 2011 against Bangladesh but made headlines for the first time when he smashed sixes off four consecutive deliveries to help West Indies clinch the ICC World T20 2016 title. The 27-year old has been plying his skills for various teams in the West Indies and will be seen in the IPL for the first time in 2016. He was one of the biggest buys for DD ahead of the ninth season of the tournament.

Captain cool

MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI THE ICE MAN OF INDIA

I thought it is the right moment for me to write about the person who has the coolest mind as captain in the cricketing world none other than our very own Indian captain Mahendra singh Dhoni, who has played the game in the right spirit and flair. Now people have started asking the question as to when he is going to retire etc,but just remember this my friends that if u can stand by him during his good days why not we stand with him during his tough times as well.So what is expected from a man of his standards is that he must be able to face the situation with ease not with pressure.

Afterall the world cup which we dreamt of from many years was won and given to us by our very own captain cool Dhoni,he won us both the t20 world cup format as well as the 50 over world cup as well,he took us to the peak of the test rankings in the world under his captaincy. All the great players in the world have admired his captaincy and the way he handles pressure.

Dhoni has been a huge success ever since he started playing international cricket. He was appreciated for playing a wonderful knock in the world cup final match in 2011.The captain cool has led the team to many first under his captaincy. Dhoni led Team India to No. 1 in the ICC Test Rankings for the first time in December 2009 and also closed the gap with Australia in one-dayers after winning the coveted 2011 Cricket World Cup. Dhoni started his captaincy career with the shortest format of the game and immediately led an inexperienced India Twenty20 squad to the inaugural ICC World Twenty20 victory in South Africa in September 2007. Soon after returning victorious in the World Twenty20, he was made the India's one-day international captain for the seven-match ODI series against Australia in September 2007. After serving the team as vice-captain for a while, Dhoni was made full-time Test captain of India during the fourth Test against Australia at Nagpur in November 2008 replacing Anil Kumble, who announced his retirement after the third Test. Dhoni made his mark in the international cricket soon after his ODI debut in December 2004 against Bangladesh. He scored a match-winning 148 against Pakistan in Vishakapatnam off 123 balls in his fifth ODI and announced his arrival in the international arena. Dhoni made his Test debut against Sri Lanka in December 2005. Similar to his one-day career, he slammed his maiden century (148) against Pakistan in 2006. His maiden ton came off 93 balls and is the fastest hundred scored by an Indian wicket-keeper.

Harsha bhogle

THE VOICE MACHINE

He is been compared with the greats who have done commentary he is a man to look upon whenever we hear the word cricket and its Relatives in India .He has not taken to the field of cricket in his life but he breathes cricket, talks cricket and eats cricket when you think of cricket there is a picture that comes to your mind and that is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. But when you think about cricket none other than Harsha bhogle comes to your mind. So what makes Harsha so great here are few points which come to my mind

1.Intimate knowledge of the sport:
This is the first and foremost requirement for the job of a cricket commentator. Knowledge of the game so that you can indulge the audience, draw the audience and point out some vagaries on-off the pitch. This is where the seasoned cricketers come in. most of the commentators today are ex cricketers. Because you need to know something in order to blabber about it!

2) Flawless English:
Sorry to disappoint those of you who like to hear commentary in your native language, but simply put, I cannot enjoy it in any other language apart form English. Why? Because I have grown up listening that way. No one likes the commentary by Siva RamaKrishnan. Why? Because he stumbles and fumbles for words.

3) Spontaneous humor & infinite number of ready made puns:
No one likes to be told that it is a boundary when the ball has been pelted for a four. People do not constant reminders. They like something funny, something that would remind them of the match later. The whole collection of Harsha's comments can be found here:

Harsha Bhogle  did his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and later passed out from IIM-A, having played almost no form of cricket. How does this guy become one of the best, less boring and least cliched commentator ever? He gained knowledge of the sport when he was 19 when he was on All India Radio commentating ( you learn much if you watch many matches and remembering anecdotes from matches does matter). The point number two, his proficiency in English stems from the fact that he attended IIM-A. I am willing to bet that IIMs only enhanced his speaking set of skills and the fact that he attended a management institute and commentates speaks volumes of stuff about him. He chose this purely out of interest. Other cricketers are bored of sitting at home. This guy, loves what he does and that people laugh along on his jokes.
As for three, I can only say that he is naturally funny and intelligent too. He makes up intelligent jokes and puns that are funny on many levels.
