JOHN ETZLER

John etzler was an american writer of German origin. In 1831,he joined forces with a young engineer named John Roebling,to lead followers across the Atlatic to establish a colony.

                             He dreamt of a green and idyllic world where the energy of wind,water and the sun would be used to meet Mankinds needs. Unfortunately , he was far ahead of his times,yet he was able to convince people to come with him to establish this paradise.

Of the first 41 settlers to reach the tropics,15 died within five months,and Etzlers dream was doomed.However his ideas were strongly put forth in his books.His most famous work is "The paradise within the reach of all men."

BUILDING THE GREEN WAY

Green architecture is a way of building that minimizes harmful effects on human health and the environment.

                          It means choosing eco- friendly materials and construction practices. Locally available wood and stone should be used as far as possibe.Green architecture utilizes solar or wind energy for power. A green building has natural ventilation systems for efficient cooling and water saving plumbing.There is the optimum use of space and fittings are made of non synthetic and non toxic materials. Green architecture promotes water conservation and encourages recycling of waste.

Well designed green buildings will save money ,increase comfort,and create a healthier environment for people to live and work in.

Sustainable architecture is architecture that seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development space.

ECO FRIENDLY

Conventional trains using coal or diesel,harm the environment.The smoke and fumes,they emit pollute the air .This in turn,adds to global warming and global warming leads to climate change.Electric trains do not give off polluting smoke or other gases. This means they are much more eco friendly than trains running on coal or diesel.Electric trains are cheaper to run as well.Since they do not need to carry heavy internal combustion engines or large batteries,they are lighter.This means that they can travel at much faster speeds,and they do not damage the tracks as much as heavy conventional trains.So, maintenance costs are much less which is an added advantage.

 An Electric train is a train powered byelectricity. Examples include: Electriclocomotive. Electric multiple unit of self-propelled carriages. Battery electric multiple unit of self-propelled carriages.
